When Trees Talk (plus a short film movie screening)

Join us for an evening at the Museum of Vancouver for a presentation on fascinating new research by Monika Gorzelak and Amanda Asay on the fungal connections through which trees communicate and share nutrients with each other. Afterwards, Vancouver Film School classical animation instructor Keith Blackmore presents a screening of “The Man Who Planted Trees” (1987), an Oscar-winning animated short film that tells story of one shepherd’s long and successful singlehanded effort to re-forest a desolate valley.
